Saves The Day: Writers of bad lyrics?
Okay, this story was posted a couple of months ago on the AOL-affiliated site Spinner.com, but I felt compelled to post it. Somehow, Saves The Day was featured in a list of the top 20 (consumers are SUCKERS for lists; make a run down the magazine rack next time you’re at the store, note the number of NUMBERS on the covers!) worst lyrics ever. Number 7, at that, which means the author of the list REALLY thought that the group’s line “I don’t think that I have got the stomach to stomach calling you today” was awful, more awful in fact than Elton John or even Shakira’s humble-sized breasts. I call foul. This is a pretty good song, even the so-called lame lyric. Check the list and see for yourself.
