A Real Interview with Dustin. Finally.
Yes, my dear readers (if you do exist; I’m almost sure you do), the headline is true: I have finally set up an interview with Dustin Kensrue. This ain’t no cheesy email interview – this is a real deal phone interview. I’ll be speaking with Dustin on Thursday evening, recording the entire conversation, and transcribing it. Since I’ll be wanting to publish it in the SMU Daily Campus, I imagine I’ll buckle down and write that record review I’ve been…pushing back. So by early next week, hopefully, expect to see either an enormous article or a nice two-parter. I like leaving things right in the middle, so the two-part article is more plausible. I’m ecstatic.
By the way, sorry for lack of updates! I’m still alive, and I’ll be around. Keep checking back.

I = Meeting Halle Berry (sort of)
So, being a member of the press has nothing but benefits. I mean, writing under deadline is stressful as all Hell, but getting into shit for free is indescribable. Our Associate Entertainment editor at the Daily Campus, Samantha Urban, emailed me a press screening invite for the upcoming Halle Berry/Bruce Willis flick Perfect Stranger. It’s going to be taking place tomorrow at a nearby theater starting at 2:15. Even better, I’m invited to press round table interviews with both Ms. Berry and Giovanni Ribisi, who’s also appearing in the film. Hmm. Should I accept? Halle Berry, school. Fancy Italian-named guy, homework. Free movie, no free movie. It’s a tough one to weigh out. Expect a review to follow on Wednesday, if not Tuesday, and perhaps some pics if I’m lucky (and can ever find a camera).
